Training Facility

In April, 2010 the District secured 4.4 acres of land contiguous with its existing 1.1 acre training site in the Tassajara Valley to build a modern training facility. The project consists of four primary structures – a classroom building, maintenance bays, a configurable training structure and a training tower. In addition to these buildings the planned facility has an underground confined space training area and other specialized training props. In August, 2010 the conceptual project design was submitted to the Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development for review and entitlement consideration.
