SAN RAMON, CA - San Ramon Valley Firefighters responded to a structure fire located at 21 Portsmouth Court in San Ramon today, May 6, at 11:45 a.m. Six engines, two trucks, one paramedic ambulance, one breathing support unit, three chief officers and two fire investigators were called to the scene.
Crews from Station 39 were first on scene and arrived to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the garage. The fire quickly spread to two vehicles in the drive way and extended into the attic. Crews began an aggressive offensive attack and had the fire under control in less than 60 minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.
San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District reminds residents to have working smoke alarms installed in all bedrooms, outside all sleeping areas and on every level of your home. Test your smoke alarms once a month and change the batters twice a year.
